Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) is developing technology in partnership with national research institutions to realize a space solar power system that is expected to be a source of clean, safe and sustainable solar energy. If sucessful, this could provide us with limitless energy and disrupt many products and services, causing a huge shift in the way we use fossil fuels. The company also succeeded in transmitting energy wirelessly, marking a step toward making solar power generation in space a reality.
